At Michael’s Music Academy we pride ourselves on getting our students to absolutely fall in love with music and playing guitar. Our totally unique and practical teaching method makes learning guitar fun, and addictive and gets students playing recognisable songs fast!
We not only promise to improve your child's guitar playing but we expect to truly transform your child's life (confidence, problem-solving, discipline, social skills, etc.) through the power of music.

Please take a moment to review our Studio Lesson Policy on the following pages, which outlines the terms and conditions of our guitar lesson program.
Once we receive your signed Student Lesson Policy Agreement, we will move forward with scheduling your first lesson.

Payment & Tuition
All payments for Michael’s Music Academy are made using the following bank account transfer

Tuition fees are paid for in advance via direct debit from your card or bank account. Payments can either be processed weekly, fortnightly or monthly based on your choice.
Payments with a credit card will incur a small additional fee. Please inform us if you know your account will not have sufficient funds.
Tuition fees are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Refunds will not be given for change of mind, missed sessions (if the circumstances don’t fit within the missed session guidelines), or expired credits.
Attendance
Your lesson program includes a set number of classes that you can attend each month. You will be booked into these sessions after your trial Session.
On your chosen lesson date, please do your best to arrive on time to receive the full benefits of your scheduled class.
Missed Lesson Policy
If you are unable to attend your lesson, we will schedule a make up lesson during the term holidays. A maximum of two make up lessons will be offered per term.
However, if there is a serious family emergency, we will discuss alternate options with you.
Teacher Absence
If your teacher is absent, you can choose to either receive a make-up lesson scheduled during the school holidays or receive a refund for that class only.
School Holidays, Public Holidays
Lessons will not run during school holidays or public holidays and you will not be charged for these lessons.
Discontinuation & Changes To Your Lesson Plan
As a small music school, we are committed to being approachable and supportive regarding any challenges you may face with lessons. If your child is struggling or you have concerns, we genuinely want to help. Please reach out to us with any questions so we can work together to find a suitable solution.
If you decide to withdraw from the program, please provide 30 days' notice by submitting the Membership Cancellation Form.

Michael’s Music Academy reserves the right to discontinue lessons with students who do not adhere to this lesson agreement or who act in ways that do not align with our values.
Changes To Lesson Policy
Michael’s Music Academy reserves the right to make changes and revisions to the lesson policy at any time. Changes take effect 30 days after an updated lesson policy has been submitted to the student body via email. It is the student and parent/guardians' responsibility to keep up to date with the lesson policy.
Online Learning Policy (eg. Covid-19 lockdowns)
In the event of lockdowns due to any situation beyond our control that prevent us from conducting face-to-face lessons, we will transition to live online lessons via Zoom. If you choose not to participate in these online lessons, refunds will not be provided.
For security and online safety, all students must log in with their full name displayed and keep their camera on to verify attendance. You acknowledge that Zoom sessions may be recorded for security purposes, lesson content creation, and quality review.
